Here’s a photo of my paternal great-grandparents, Walter Lester Albritton, Sr. and Mary Malissa “Lissie” Forshee with their two oldest children, Louise and Walt, Jr. This photo was probably taken in 1918 due to the children’s ages. My grandmother Mae would arrive the following year on May 28, 1919. Walter and Mary would eventually have ten children, including a set of twins. I’m sad to say only seven of the children would reach adulthood.
