PRESERVING THE PAST ONE HEADLINE AT A TIME

Wordless Wednesday: Doris Lee Adams

Doris Lee Adams Hood Circa 1940s - (389x640)

This is my lovely great-aunt, Doris Lee Adams.  The photo isn’t dated, but appears to be from the 1940s.  Doris was the sixth child of Ezekiel Boston “Boss” Adams, Sr. and Gussie Schrimshire.   While I only met my great-aunt once when I was a child, my dad has fond memories of Doris and her husband, David Hood.  She was eighty-eight years old when she passed away in September 2011.

What a beautiful photo of your great-aunt. And her hair… what a lucky girl to have such healthy-looking hair!
