PRESERVING THE PAST ONE HEADLINE AT A TIME

Fashion Friday: Women’s Clothing from The Sears 1962 Christmas Catalog

Can’t decide if I like this…but if I had to choose, I’d go with the navy.  The model wearing navy has a great flip hairstyle that was so popular in the early 1960s.

The model wearing the #5 fur collar (also #2 & #3)  is lovely.  She has an elegance like Grace Kelly and her hairstyle suits her.

Think I’ll pass on the green coat……

Can’t imagine having to wear one of these housecoats/robes every morning.  They are too bright and colorful for me, not to mention  unattractive.  The only one I even remotely like is the light blue jacket & pants #1 on the right side.  Have any idea what’s on the model’s head on the left side?  Enlarging the image didn’t help as it gets blurry.  Some sort of hat?

Be sure to drop by over the weekend, as I’ll devote several more posts to this Sears 1962 Christmas Catalog.
