It would be interesting to try Lustre Cream shampoo to see how it compares with shampoos of today. I wonder if shampoo has changed much in 60 years? With the many Hollywood endorsements and the affordable price, I’m sure lots of women used it. Here’s a link to another Lustre Cream commercial that features several actresses.

Vintage ads are fun! I recently purchased several old magazines on Ebay just for the ads. While I don’t know the history of Lustre-Cream shampoo, it’s sold online by The Vermont Country Store.
